Welcome to Eduwell Inc. (Eduwell or Edu-well.com). By registering as a tutor with our online tutoring platform, you (“Tutor”) agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before accepting tutoring assignments.
1. Eligibility & Registration
By using Eduwell’s website or services, you confirm that you:
- 1.1 Tutors must be at least 18 years of age. If you are under the age of 18, you need the consent of your parent to offer tutoring services at Eduwell.
- 1.2 By registering, you certify that all information provided is accurate, and you will maintain updated records with Eduwell.
- 1.3 Tutor must provide two valid pieces of government issued ID (e.g driver’s license, passport etc) during the onboarding process.
- 1.4 Tutors may be asked to undergo background check upon request by management, as they may be working with minors.
2. Technology Requirements
To ensure smooth delivery of online tutoring services, Tutors must have:
- A reliable laptop or desktop computer (tablets/phones are not sufficient unless otherwise approved). A pentab is highly recommended for effective teaching.
- A stable internet connection with at least 10 Mbps upload/download speeds.
- A functioning webcam and microphone.
Failure to maintain these standards may result in termination of tutoring assignments.
3. Session Scheduling and Attendance
- Tutors are responsible for managing their session schedules in coordination with Eduwell management team.
- Tutors must join sessions on time. If a Tutor is more than 10 minutes late without prior notice, the session may be canceled by the student, and no compensation will be provided.
- Repeated tardiness may result in removal from the tutoring platform.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Tutor-Initiated Cancellations:
- If a Tutor needs to cancel a scheduled session, they must provide at least 12 hours’ written notice to Eduwell’s management team.
- Family emergencies or illnesses are exceptions to the 24-hour requirements at the sole discretion of the management. Frequent requests will not be entertained.
- Failure to provide 12 hours’ notice may result in a deduction of 50% of the session fee from the Tutor’s earnings.
- No-shows (missed sessions without notice) may result in full forfeiture of the session fee and possible termination if it’s more frequent.
The above cancellation policies will be carried out at the management’s discretion and can be modified or updated at any time without prior notice.
5. Session Conduct
- Tutors are expected to be fully prepared for each session and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Use of offensive, inappropriate, or discriminatory language or behavior during sessions will lead to immediate termination.
- Academic integrity is paramount. Tutors must not complete homework, tests, or assessments on behalf of students.
- Tutors are expected to be attentive and engaging during the sessions. They should not engage in other activities while the session in ongoing.
- All tutoring sessions may be recorded for quality assurance, training and dispute resolution purposes. By taking the lessons from our platform, tutors consent to being recorded during the sessions.
- Tutors are expected to assign regular homework, conduct assessments, and provide feedback on a regular basis.
- Tutors are not allowed to record or screenshot images of the student during the sessions.
6. Compensation & Payment
- Tutors will be paid at rates agreed upon with Eduwell.
- Payments will be processed bank transfer monthly, after 5 business days of receiving the invoice provided the invoice captures the correct session count, student name and amount.
- Eduwell the right to withhold payment for sessions not completed in accordance with these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
Any lesson materials created specifically for students through Eduwell remain the intellectual property of Eduwell unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
8. Confidentiality
Tutors must maintain the confidentiality of student personal information, learning progress, and any proprietary Company information.
9. Non-Solicitation
Tutors agree not to solicit students for private lessons outside of the platform for a period of 12 months following termination of their relationship with Eduwell
10. Termination
Eduwell reserves the right to suspend or terminate Tutor accounts for violations of these Terms or failure to meet performance expectations.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Tutors will be notified of changes via email, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Canada and India
By registering or continuing as a tutor with Eduwell you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
